The Best of Best Western: Windmill Village Coventry

Our recent stay at the Windmill Village Hotel, the local Best Western Hotel. We are Best Western members and I explain our love of the Hotel chain.

I like nothing more than putting my PJs on, a comfy bed and some chocolate. Now if you give me that opportunity and a baby free night then I’m really in my element. So when we had the chance to go to the local Best Western Hotel, we jumped at the chance.

We had some Tesco vouchers to use so we booked a night away at the Windmill Village Hotel and Spa in Allesley, Coventry. This Best Western Hotel has a Golf course, Spa, Swimming pool and a Restaurant and Coffee Bar. It has gorgeous rooms with stunning views over the Golf course. Some of them have a little seating area outside and a table and chairs to watch the Golfers.

Best Western Bedroom

We have stayed at the Windmill Village numerous times now, in different rooms. As in every hotel there are rooms to suit most budgets, but even the smaller rooms are cute and everything you need.

All of the rooms we have stayed in have had massive beds! We have a standard double at home and although they say “Double Rooms” they are almost certainly King size. It really makes me aware of the luxury we are missing not having a King size bed!

The beds are so comfortable and even with a broken arm I managed a lovely nights sleep and a bit of a lie in! Why do we always wake up early when the kids aren’t around?!

Best Western Breakfast

Breakfast is served between 7.30am and 10.30am on a Sunday and it is has everything you could ever want for your breakfast!

You could choose as much as you want from the following:

  • Toast
  • Tea and Coffee
  • Fruit Juices
  • Cereals
  • Croissants (Pain au Raisin, Pain au Chocolate, Butter Croissants)
  • Cold Meats and Cheeses
  • Full English Breakfast (Bacon, Sausage, Egg, Beans, Hash Browns)

The breakfasts are lovely and really filling, but if you miss breakfast the restaurant and the Cellar Bar both serve lovely food!

Best Western Spa

The Spa offers a haven from the outside world; somewhere to unwind, relax and leave you feeling refreshed.

There is a 20 metre pool with a whirlpool, a sauna and a steam room with a couple of treatment rooms for the spa.

Unfortunately I was unable to use these facilities due to my arm, however, earlier in the year I enjoyed my Hen do at the Spa. We had treatments, lunch, a swim in the pool and a lovely relaxing time! I’d definitely recommend having a facial and you do don’t need to need to worry about forgetting your towel. They provide them! Am I the worlds worst mum? I always forget towels!

Best Western Bonus

Some of the other Best Westerns we’ve enjoyed a stay at are The Grosvenor Hotel, Stratford-Upon-Avon and The Carlton Hotel, Blackpool.

We often look at Best Western hotels first as we are reward members therefore collecting points for every stay. Once you get to 10,000 points for example, you go up to a Gold Member where there are bonuses to have. You can collect points to get free stays, High Street vouchers or vouchers for restaurants. If you travel frequently or like to go away it is well worth looking at!

Let me know of any other Best Westerns we could stay at, you know how much we like a good weekend away!
